Barry Southers was born in Lexington, Kentucky, located in the heart of Kentucky's beautiful Bluegrass Country, and raised in Burgin, Kentucky. As a child, he amused himself by writing short stories and songs as well as drawing album covers for imaginary bands. He is one of four brothers in the Southers family, the others being Tom, Don, and his twin brother Bruce - whom he is collaborating with on a book of photographic images of historical, unique, and interesting churches in Kentucky. Bruce is also working on a humorous, non-fiction project called, "Cow Pattie Baseball and Other Funny Stories From A Country Boy"...I'll let him tell you the history behind the name.

His parents, Bill and Sheila, live in the Herrington Lake area of central Kentucky. Now, Barry works in the medical research field as an MRI Technologist, and currently resides in West Chester, Ohio with his family - Jenny, Samantha, Rachael, and their puppy, Daisy. He is currently working on ideas for his next novel. This is his first novel.
